Fish Oil and Weight Loss

Question: I've been taking fish oil and I swear my tummy seems to be a bit more flatter. I'm not on any "real" diet but I'm also not what you would call a big junk eater. I'm wondering if the fish oil is causing me to lose a few pounds. I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering. Does fish oil cause weight loss?

Answer:Yep! Fish oil can help you manage your weight. Fish oil has a powerful effect on fat metabolism. One major reason is because fish oil helps stabilize insulin levels in the body.

Insulin is the hormone that reduces the bodies use of fat while increasing the storage of fat. Insulin also activates the enzyme that converts carbohydrates into fat. High insulin levels make it less likely that your body will use fat and energy and more likely that your body will store fat.

Fish oils and fats like omega-3 drop insulin levels and promote the use of fat as energy. This increases energy levels and decreases fat storage. The result is that you shed some weight.

Fish oil supplements are a good idea for anyone taking steps toward weight loss....another great reason to use fish oil.

I recommend Nutrilite Ocean Essential for Balanced Health. If you're just looking for a good fish oil then the Ocean Essential Balanced Health is the way to go.
